Tension As Gunmen Kidnap FCMB Manager Others In Ogun, Slam N100m Ransom

 

Suspected Fulani herdsmen have kidnapped the Branch Manager and other staff members of the First City Monument Bank (FCMB), Imepe Branch, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, BUSINESSINSIDERNG can authoritatively report.
Sources within the bank disclosed that the branch manager was abducted last week, with the suspected kidnappers initially demanding a ransom of N300 million.

However, following negotiations and pleas, the ransom demand was reportedly reduced to N100 million. It remains unclear whether the bank will pay the ransom or if the responsibility will fall on the victims’ families.

“FCMB branch manager at Ijebu branch and his colleague were kidnapped last week and their abductors requested a N300 million ransom initially.

“The FCMB branch is around Lagos Garage, Imepe Branch at Ijebu-Ode, but now they are demanding N100 million,” the source said.

As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official statement from the bank or security agencies regarding the incident.
