Residents Declare Support For Oyebamiji, Declares Him Hope Of Osun 2026

Ahead of the December 13, 2025, All Progressives Congress’ (APC’s) gubernatorial primary election in Osun State, the people of the State have stormed social media platforms on Monday to declare their unflinching support for the governorship aspiration of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), describing him as the man destined to rescue and rebuild Osun State under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Across various Facebook posts, indigenes of the state praised the APC frontline aspirant for his proven track record, visionary leadership, and unmatched experience in both the private and public sectors. They described Oyebamiji as the only aspirant capable of moving Osun from its current state of ruin to genuine prosperity.

With the rising wave of support across social media and the grassroots, one message is clear: AMBO represents competence, loyalty, and a new dawn for Osun State.

For instance, many supporters noted that with over 24 years of banking experience and more than 13 years in public service, Oyebamiji possesses the right blend of competence, loyalty, and capacity to deliver transformative governance that the people of Osun State truly deserve.

A supporter, Adebayo Aishat Omowunmi, recalled AMBO’s remarkable achievements as the Managing Director of the Osun State Investment Company (OSIC), where he championed several housing and investment projects that significantly improved the state’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).

“AMBO is not a man of empty promises; he delivers! He facilitated the largest shopping mall in Osun State, ended the half-salary era, ensured regular payment of salaries and pensions, and cleared N97 billion of inherited debt. He also established the NNPC mega station in Osogbo. His track record speaks louder than words — AMBO will lead us to better governance and progress,” she wrote.

Another resident, Abimbola Alabi, called on Osun people to unite behind Oyebamiji and vote out the current administration, which he said has brought little or no progress to the state.

“Governor Adeleke has failed the people with poor performance and lack of direction. The time has come for real leadership, and AMBO is the answer,” he said.

Also highlighting Oyebamiji’s rich profile, Yishau Musibau Taiwo stated that AMBO’s service as a two-time Commissioner for Finance and current Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) has demonstrated his financial expertise and leadership excellence.

“He is tested, trusted, and reliable, a man of vision with an unblemished record of service. Osun needs AMBO now more than ever,” Taiwo affirmed.

For Adedotun Aderemi, Oyebamiji’s competence in financial management and administration sets him apart from all other contenders.

“He rebuilt Osun’s economy and positioned it for growth. AMBO understands governance, accountability, and development. He is the only capable and reliable man to govern our dear state come 2026 and beyond,” Aderemi declared.

In his own post, Iamconfidence Oluwafemi emphasised Oyebamiji’s enduring contributions to Osun’s growth even while serving under previous administrations.

“As Commissioner for Finance under former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola, he helped the state offset N97 billion in inherited debt. He built over 40 housing units across Lagos and Abuja, generating revenue for Osun till today. He facilitated the largest shopping mall in the state, creating jobs and boosting commerce. His impact is felt everywhere,” Oluwafemi wrote.

He also praised AMBO’s unwavering loyalty to the APC, recalling his consistency from the days of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) to Action Congress (AC), Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), and now All Progressives Congress (APC).

“AMBO has never decamped, never betrayed the progressive family. He has stood firm through thick and thin. He is a loyal party man, a dependable leader, and the hope of Osun 2026,” he added.

As the APC primary election in Osun State draws closer, slated for December 13, 2025, more residents are rallying behind Asiwaju Oyebamiji, describing his aspiration as a movement for progress, unity, and renewed prosperity for Osun State.

“Bola Oyebamiji is the people’s choice. We anticipate his coming, Osun’s brighter future begins with AMBO,” declared another supporter, Mustapha Olaide.
