PTML, Grimaldi Shipping Describe Planned Increase In Tarrif As Fake News

Grimaldi Agency Nigeria, operators of the Roll-on Roll-off terminal; Ports and Terminal Multi-Services Limited (PTML) has said that there was no truth in the fake publication making the rounds on social media about a purported increase in its Tariff starting from 1st of November.

 

In an official public notice and disclaimer issued by the PTML Terminal on Monday 3rd November 2025, the firm urged all port users to disregard the fraudulent publication and to verify any information through its official communication lines before taking action.

Grimaldi Shipping and PTML Terminal has further reassured its commitments as a responsible organisation towards compliance with all applicable laws and port tariff regulations of the the Federal Government of Nigeria.

 

“It has come to our attention that a document currently circulating on social media and other platforms purporting to announce a tariff increase allegedly issued by Ports & Terminal Multi-Services Limited (PTML) and/or Grimaldi Agency Nigeria is false and did not originate from us.

 

“We categorically state that the document is fake and was issued by unknown third parties with ulterior motives to mislead the public and discredit our organisation.

 

“As responsible corporate entities, PTML and Grimaldi Agency Nigeria operate in strict compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Any official communication relating to tariffs or operational matters is always formally issued through our authorized channels and duly notified to the relevant government authorities, stakeholders, and clients.

 

“We urge the public, our customers, and stakeholders to disregard the fraudulent publication and to verify any information through our official communication lines before taking action.

 

“We are already alerting the appropriate law enforcement and regulatory authorities to investigate this matter and take necessary actions against those responsible” the Disclaimer notice read.
