The former Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr. Bashir Jamoh, has added another feather to his cap by bagging a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Baze University, Abuja.
The achievement was shared on the Dr Bashir Jamoh Support Group page, which posted pictures of the technocrat at the convocation ceremony with the caption: “Alhamdulilahi, LLB bagged.”
Dr Jamoh, born on February 2, 1964, is a seasoned technocrat with more than 37 years of experience in Nigeria’s transportation and maritime sectors. He began his career in the Kaduna State Government before transferring to NIMASA in 1994. Over the years, he rose through the ranks, serving as Executive Director of Finance and Administration before being appointed Director General of the agency in 2020.
Beyond public service, Jamoh has contributed to maritime scholarship. He authored the widely referenced book, Harnessing Nigeria’s Maritime Assets: Past, Present, and Future, and previously served as President of the Chartered Institute of Transport Administration of Nigeria (CIoTA)
