NIMASA Mourns As Local Shipowners Ex- DG, Ogbuagu, Dies

The Director General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr. Bashir Jamoh, on Sunday, expressed deep sadness over the death of Engr. Oliver Ogbuagu, a former Executive Director, Operations of the Agency.

In a press statement by the, assistant director, Public Relations, NIMASA, Edward Osagie, Dr. Jamoh described Engr. Ogbuagu as “a dear friend and professional colleague.

The DG, while signing the condolence register at the home of the deceased in Lagos also described him as very ‘warm and supportive’ saying the entire maritime industry will miss his experience and wealth of knowledge.

The DG prayed God to grant the late Engr. Ogbuagu eternal rest and give the family he left behind the fortitude to bear the painful loss.

Engr. Ogbuagu, who was also a former director genera, Nigerian Shipowners’ Association (NISA) was reported to have passed on in Lagos at the early hours of Sunday April 10, 2022 after a brief illness.
