Despite a public apology tendered by popular Fuji musician, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, also known as KWAM 1, over violent conduct at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) said the six-month travel ban placed on the fuji icon still subsists.
The NCAA blacklisted K1 from all Nigerian Airports for the next 6 months and placed him on a no-fly list after his conduct at the airport.
Speaking, the director of public affairs and consumer protection, NCAA, Michael Achimugu, said despite the apology, K1’s flight ban and placing him on the fly list subsist.
He said, “As for now, the suspension and placement on the no-fly list subsists,” Achimugu stated.

“What I must assure the general public is that everybody involved in this will be brought to book. As we speak, the
The passenger is going to be blacklisted for the next six months from flying in Nigeria. Aviation rules are made for everybody, for the protection of everybody.”
Also, the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, ordered the NCAA to place the Fuji Musician on the no-fly list.
Keyamo lampooned Kwam 1, saying physical blockage of the aircraft from taxiing is reprehensible conduct akin to a hostage situation.
According to him, all airlines, both domestic and International, should be informed of the directive, saying any airline that flouts the directive risks withdrawal of their operating licence.
“In the circumstances, I have also directed the NCAA to place Kwam 1 on a no-fly list pending further and full investigation, just like the Captain and Pilot. ALL AIRLINES, both domestic and International, should IMMEDIATELY be informed of this directive and anyone who flouts this directive risks withdrawal of their operating licence.”
