Stakeholders in the nation’s transportation industry are upbeat as preparations enter top gear for the maiden edition of the JustAlive Communications Limited Summit, taking place on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the Providence Hotel, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos.
A few days to the Summit, there are high expectations as key policymakers, operators, regulators, and stakeholders across the transport value chain prepare for what promises to change the narrative in the sector.
Themed “Nigeria’s Transport Infrastructure: Innovation for a Sustainable Future”, the one-day summit to be chaired by the Managing Director of Primero Transport Services, operators of Lagos BRT buses, Mr Fola Tinubu, will feature the former Commissioner of Transportation, Lagos State, Prof. Bamidele Badejo as Keynote Speaker.
The erudite scholar, an ex-General Manager, Research, Planning and Environment (RPE) at the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Lokoja, Kogi State will speak extensively to the large audience on “Future of Transportation in Nigeria: Trends, Challenges and Opportunities”.
Prof. Badejo, who is also, the LASG – Professorial Chair Endowment on Transport Studies, Lagos State University, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport of London (FCILT), Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners(FNITP), Registered Town Planner (RTP) and Fellow, Chartered Institute of Transport Administration of Nigeria (FCIoTA).
In addition to the long list of carefully selected transport experts that will grace the occasion, are: Mrs Olubunmi Kuku, Managing Director/CEO Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and Dr Segun Musa, Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Global Transport Policy (GTP), who will make incisive presentations.
Capt. Ado Sanusi, Managing Director/CEO Aero Contractors, Capt. Samuel Caulcrick, former Rector of Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria; Remi Jibodu, Acting COO, Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL); Alex Nwuba, President, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association of Nigeria (AOPAN), will be on the panel session.
Others that will also form part of the panel session include: Dr Chizoba Anyika, National Publicity Secretary & Deputy Director at NIMASA; Mr Frank Ogunojemite, APFFLON President; Dr Azeez Mustapha, Managing Director AZ Logistics and Mr Frank Kintum, CEO, Transport Day Media, organisers of the annual Transport Lecture and Publishers of Transport Day newspaper.
According to Mrs Pearl Ngwama, Managing Director/CEO of JustAlive Communications Limited, the summit is designed to be more than just a talk show, adding that it aims to generate actionable policy outcomes that can drive positive and tangible industry changes.
“This is the first attempt, but we have a clear-cut perspective on what a summit is supposed to achieve. It is not just another talk show but carefully put together for a robust transport policy formulation, especially as it focuses on infrastructure and its sustainability”, Ngwama said.
