Clearing Agents operating at the nation’s seaports have called on the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) to extend the service indigenous revenue and trade facilitation technology, B’Odogwu to other seaports in the country.
BUSINESSINSIDERNG reports that the service had used the Port and Terminal Multiservices Limited (PTML) for pilot test for the operation of B’Odogwu.
Since then, stakeholders have praised the implementation of the indigenous technology and sought for its introduction in other seaports.
Also, from PTML, it would be deployed to Apapa and Tin-Can Island Ports by the Customs management.
However, speaking to Journalists, the national President of the Association of Nigerian Licenced Customs Agents (ANLCA), Emenike Nwokeoji, stated that B’Odogwu is functioning in only Lagos Seaports for now.
“B’Odogwu is functioning in Lagos Port only for now. We have scheduled a meeting over this and NECOM will meet, take a common position over it and will let you know,” Nwokeoji stated.
