ANLCA Crisis Gets Deadly As Hoodlums Attack Ex-NECOM Member

The Crisis between the registered Board of Trustee of Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) and the National Executive Committee (NECOM) is getting deadly as suspected hoodlums attacked a former NECOM executive member, Dr Obicee Okonkwo.
BUSINESSinsiderng reports that the registered trustees led by the allegedly suspended board chairman, Taiwo Mustapha had said its either the warring factions (NECOM) come back together to resolve their differences or there will be no peace at the secretariat again.
However, Dr Obicee, who is the immediate past National Publicity Secretary of ANLCA was attacked by hoodlums suspected to be loyal to the registered BoT members of the association.
According to a clearing agents, Emeka Okonkwo, Obicee was attacked at Villa Park hotel, Amuwo Odofin on Wednesday.
Okonkwo said, “Let me warn! the attack by hoodlums on Dr Obicee Okonkwo at villa park hotel and suites where he was to cool off as normal is uncalled for. Let it not repeat itself anymore because to be forewarned is to be forearmed.”
Also, the Public Relation Officer, Tin-Can Island Chapter, ANLCA, Onome Onije said Obicee’s cloth were torn and his money taken away.
“Dr Obicee was attacked, his phone smashed and money collected from him,” she said
Recall that the registered trustees of the association had led the Nigeria Police Force to shutdown the secretariat on Wednesday evening.
